چکیده

The existence of online social networks that include person specific information creates interesting opportunities for various applications ranging from marketing to community organization. On the other hand, security and privacy concerns need to be addressed for creating such applications. Improving social network access control systems appears as the first step toward addressing the existing security and privacy concerns related to online social networks. To address some of the current limitations, we have created an experimental social network using synthetic data which we then use to test the efficacy of the semantic reasoning based approaches we have previously suggested. a 2010 Elsevier Ltd. Providing Access Control to Online Photo Albums Based on Tags and Linked Data

While photo sharing sites such as Flickr provide efficient tools for setting up an online album, users who want to maintain a certain level of privacy are usually only provided with rudimentary access control. Given that descriptive tags are extensively used on photos, and that the Semantic Web provides a common means of sharing social network information as linked data, we believe better acces...

Ontology-based access control for social network systems

As the information flowing around in social network systems is mainly related or can be attributed to their users, controlling access to such information by individual users becomes a crucial requirement. The intricate semantic relations among data objects, different users, and between data objects and users further add to the complexity of access control needs. In this paper, we propose an acc...

Context-Aware Access Control for Collaborative Working Environments Based on Semantic Social Networks

Most current shared workspaces within Collaborative Working Environments (CWE) provide role-based coarse-grained access control mechanisms for eProfessionals which do not satisfy their requirements in most cases. When e-Professionals collaborate in CWE, they leave some fingerprints, which contain highly valuable information. These fingerprints can be exported and used to extract the hidden soci...
